There is no better example than physical activity in adults with type 2 diabetes to show how important it can be for people with this chronic disease to be active. Not only physical activity has therapeutic effects but also reduces the risk of other diseases. In addition, physical activity promotes a healthy body weight. There is strong scientific evidence to show that physical activity protects against heart disease in people with diabetes, as an example.
You should consult a health care provider like us to choose and adapt a physical activity appropriate for your condition. However, a moderate-intensity activity for about 2 hour and 30 minutes per week alleviates the condition and helps to substantially lower the risk of heart disease. More activity fetches even greater benefit. People with diabetes should monitor their glucose levels occasionally.
