Are you obese or overweight?

If you are one, you are not alone. An estimated 1.1 billion adults are overweight and 312 million are obese and the world is facing an obesity epidemic. High blood pressure

  • Heart disease
  • Stroke
  • Cancer

  • Gall bladder disease

The good news is that even modest weight loss can prevent the aforesaid health problems and improves your quality of life. You can usually lose weight through dietary changes or increased physical activity. If, for some reason you cannot diet or exercise then U-Lipo is the answer.

Obesity is defined as having an excess amount of body fat.
Body fat is of 3 types:

  1. Structural fat which cushions our organs and is vital for our normal organic protection and functioning
  2. Normal fat which acts as a reserve fuel upon which the body can freely draw on, when in need
  3. Abnormal fat which is the accumulation from which the obese person suffers. Unfortunately this fat is locked away and is very difficult to get rid of thus making the person risk prone.

U-Lipo exactly targets the 3rd type of abnormal fat enabling weight reduction and figure correction.

BMI stands for Body Mass Index and is currently the international standard for assessing your obesity status.
BMI is calculated by dividing your weight in kilograms (kg) by your height in meters (m) squared.
Thus, BMI = weight (kg) / height squared (m2).
You can check your status using our BMI calculator.

Apart from the genetic and hormonal influences on your weight, obesity occurs when your calorie intake exceeds the amount of calories you spend through your normal daily activities. These excess calories are stored in your body as fat.
Obesity results from inactivity, unhealthy diet, irregular eating habits and certain medications. Other contributing factors are medical problems such as polycystic ovary syndrome, Cushing’s syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome. Even arthritis causes obesity as this can result in decreased activity. Pregnancy is another contributing factor.

Exercise regularly. Fast walking or swimming is a good option.
Eat healthy. Consume low calorific and nutrient rich foods such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains.  Avoid saturated fat. Limit alcohol and sweets. Know your body type and follow the recommended diet.
Avoid food traps, monitor your weight regularly and be persistent.
